Welcome to Mt Rose HVAC
Mt. Rose HVAC is the premier HVAC experts in Nevada, California and Idaho. We offer heating, ventilation and air conditioning services for industrial, commercial, and government buildings.
On our list of mechanical prime retrofits is Alice Maxwell Elementary School. Mt. Rose Heating acted as the prime contractor on this project. The scope of work included: replacing 32 fan coils, new duct distribution, air outlets, mechanical piping, chillers, pumps, DDC controls, civil work, electrical and painting. This project had a short construction schedule during the school’s summer vacation period.
The Reno/Sparks Indian Colony updated their facility as part of their relocation. Teaming up with Bison Construction, our scope included: replacing 7 rooftop units, 1 computer room air handler, 4 relief hoods, 1 make up air unit, 2 split systems, 6 ceiling mounted exhaust fans, kitchen hoods, air distribution, refrigerant piping, test and balance and controls.
Occupying a small piece of an up-and-coming block along the Virginia Street corridor, this project helped revive an outdated area. We worked with Miles Construction to accomplish a nicely finished product. We added an air handler that allowed 100% fresh air into the building to alleviate any indoor smoke issues from the casino floor and kitchen area, along with a new control system, duct distribution and air outlets.
Previously known around South Lake Tahoe for years was “The Hole”, an abandoned construction project that sat empty for years. Mt. Rose Heating was part of the 30,000 sq/ft build of the front side of the unoccupied site adding upscale retailers and restaurants to the prestigious area of South Lake Tahoe.
Here in Reno we welcomed back international flight services, “Volaris Airlines” from both Guadalajara and London. Teaming up with “Clark and Sullivan Construction” we aided them in the short “7 week construction schedule” of a remodel of an existing building to serve as the main port for international arrivals and departures.Read Clark and Sullivan’s Blog Here
South Lake Tahoe recently added a world renown venue. With remodeled rooms, casino floor, kitchen, and lobby this is sure to bring more excitement into Tahoe.
The three story brick building which houses all of The Depot Craft Brewery and Distillery’s operations was built in 1910 to serve as the headquarters for the Nevada-California-Oregon Railway. It was abandoned for years until owner “Chris Shanks” who also owns Louis Basque Corner (next door) decided he was going to restore the building and turn it into Reno’s first distillery/brewing/restaurant and preserve a piece of Nevada heritage.
VA Specialty Clinic
This new addition to the Veteran’s Affair Hospital is a new building of approximately 27,000 square feet and two stories. It houses a multitude of specialty clinics designed to serve our veteran’s special care needs. With 58 exam type rooms, nine chemo treatment stations, two procedure rooms and associated administrative/operations support spaces, it will greatly add to help our local veterans giving them the medical support they need and deserve.
JA Nugget Remodel
We took great pride in remodeling this great Northern Nevada casino and resort. It came with some challenging aspects including: a short construction schedule, coordinating with NDOT to shut down parts of Interstate-80 as we craned mechanical units from the highway to the rooftops, and working around patrons/guests of the JA Nugget to ensure that there was minimal noise and distractions during the 24/7 business hours of a casino and resort of this magnitude. This is a “cornerstone” of the Reno/Sparks area and we were grateful to be a part of the project team.
